2022 NY 18– US House Race

Summary

The 18th district is based in the mid Hudson Valley, including all of Orange County and most of Dutchess and Ulster Counties. The seat was modestly altered due to redistricting, losing all of Putnam County to the 17th district while picking up the portions of Dutchess and Ulster Counties formerly in the 19th district. The district has a PVI of D+1 and voted for Joe Biden by 8 points in 2020.

The incumbent is Democrat Sean Patrick Maloney, who was re-elected with 55.8% of the vote in 2020, however, Maloney has decided to run in the neighboring 17th district instead.
